My Thoughts on “Bikini Body” Season
Written by Kristy Cloetingh, Blogger & Advocate Where I live in New York City, summer is quickly approaching. It seems like Mother Nature decided to completely bypass spring and jump right from 40 degrees to 80 overnight. I’m personally thrilled about this. Although I love snow and went to school in Indiana (lake effect snow […]

How Change Changed Me
Written by Lizzie Elsberg, Blogger & Advocate I don’t know many people who truly like change…I know I certainly do not. Unfortunately (or fortunately), change is an inevitable part of life – we will all experience it at some point, in big or small ways, and it will probably be overwhelmingly scary. Sometimes we may […]

Without You
Written by Charlotte Sandy, Blogger & Advocate This month, it will be five years without you. Five years of moving through the waves of grieving a person society tells me I shouldn’t grieve. Who grieves the loss of a therapist, anyway? Mental health organizations and professionals always voice a message of hope: “Therapy can provide […]

Everywhere I look, my friends are engaged, getting married, having children, getting acceptance letters into their masters or PA school programs, becoming doctors, and “living the dream.” I […]

Let's be kinder to those struggling with any type of addiction. No matter if it be alcohol, cocaine, opioids, heroine, cigarettes, marijuana, food, self harm, sex, shopping, stealing, etc. .. an addiction is defined as a physical or psychological need / habit formed. Blame should never be placed upon someone who gets caught up in addictive behaviors / substance abuse. Never does an addict plan to get sick. And so again, let's all be kinder to those struggling. ❤️ #whereistand #hopeheals #mentalhealth #mentalillness #addiction #selflove #recovery #endstigma #fighters

Trichotillomania: My Hidden Struggle
Written by Charlotte Sandy, Blogger & Advocate In the midst of almost puberty and mean girls of middle school, I didn’t need anything else to make me ashamed of who I was. And yet, it was exactly at this time when it happened. One day, I started pulling out my eyelashes. I don’t remember the […]
